I am currently a certified peer specialist in the state of Georgia. Previously, I worked for two years in a community behavioral health treatment environment as part of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. I worked on Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), Whole Health Action Management Plan development and facilitating recovery dialogues with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
I also studied Psychology as an undergraduate and have my Masters of Science in Educational Psychology. I have certifications as a National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) State Trainer for Connections Support Groups and Peer to Peer Psychoeducational Classes. I also have many years of living in recovery and have supported individuals with a wide variety of mental health concerns in numerous clinical and peer settings.
