I am an advocate for over fifteen years for mentally and physically disabled persons in the State of North Carolina
I am a Qualified Professional (QP), Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP), and Certified Peer Support Specialist Facilitator who has worked with both Adults and children with various mental illnesses.
Professionally I have provided extensive care for adults and children with Community Based Services as well as Residence Based Services, including but not limited to those experiencing Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Community Based & CAP – MR/DD Services (CBS & CAP-MR/DD).
My training includes Wellness Recovery Action Planning, Person Centered Thinking, Crises Prevention, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Disorders of Emotional Regulation from the Institute for Brain Potential, and Therapeutic Interventions.
I am eager to work within the framework of Support Groups Central, continuing to assist those in need of support, understanding, hope, and motivation with a dose of inspiration.
