Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Peers in Action Support Group
Emotions Matter Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Peers in Action is a new BPD Peer Support group. It will launch as pilot program in the Spring of 2019.
This free online BPD Peer support group will consist of four structured 75 minute sessions. Session topics will cover peer principles for moving forward with BPD: trust, advocacy, community and purpose.
Group benefits include meeting others living and managing with BPD, sharing lived experiences in a judgement free, safe environment, discussing problems and soluations together, and learning principles which have helped others move forward.
Each meeting will be faciliated by peer faciliators with lived experience of BPD in some stage of recovery, who will share their stories and resources.
Please note our peer faciliators are volunteers, and not health care professionals. This group does not take the place of professional medical advice or therapy regarding the diagnosis or treatment of borderline personality disorder. Any participant who demonstrates the need for a higher level of health care, will be referred to call 911, go to their local emergency room, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
