Welcome to WomenHeart’s Virtual Support Networks!
After being diagnosed with heart disease, many women experience feelings of isolation and depression. You are not alone! These Support Networks are designed to empower women with heart disease by providing support and key heart health information specific to women. Talking with someone who's been there can make a difference in your emotional and physical recovery. We're here to support you. Woman to woman, heart to heart.
WomenHeart HeartSisters Online are peer-led by
WomenHeart Champions, women heart disease survivors who have made the selfless commitment to become leaders in their communities and providers of the much needed support for other women living with heart disease. Each
WomenHeart Champion is trained in the science and medical aspects of heart disease as well as key aspects of providing peer support at the prestigious WomenHeart Science & Leadership Symposium at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease is the nation's first and only patient-centered organization serving the 48 million American women living with or at risk for heart disease — the leading cause of death in women. WomenHeart is solely devoted to advancing women's heart health through advocacy, community education, and the nation's only peer-led patient support network for women living with heart disease. WomenHeart is both a coalition and a community of thousands of members nationwide, including women heart patients and their families, physicians, and health advocates, all committed to helping women live longer, healthier lives.
