When someone you love is struggling with a mental illness, we know it can be difficult to find information and support. You're not alone, and we're glad you're here.
NAMI Alaska's online support group is for caregivers to discuss challenges, share coping skills, and offer one another support, regardless of where you are in Alaska. Meetings are facilitated by trained family members who understand firsthand the challenges we face. You can join for free from your computer, tablet or smartphone and connect confidentially with other Alaskan families in a supportive and encouraging environment.
NAMI Alaska (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides education, support, advocacy, and public awareness so that Alaskans affected by mental illness can build better lives. We are the state-wide umbrella organization for Alaska's four affiliates in the communities of Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks and Utqiagvik. Together, we offer this support group which meets online for any family member, friend or caregiver whose loved one is living with a mental illness or co-occurring disorder (substance use and mental illness), regardless of diagnosis.
