When you live with a mental illness or care about someone who does, we know it can be difficult to find information and support. You're not alone, and we're glad you're here.
NAMI Alaska's online support groups are a place for people affected by mental illness - whether it's a person who lives with mental illness or a family member, friend or caregiver whose loved one is living with a mental illness. Participants can discuss challenges, share coping skills, and offer one another support, regardless of where they are in Alaska. Meetings are facilitated by trained peers who understand firsthand the challenges we face. You can join for free from your computer, tablet or smartphone and connect confidentially with other Alaskans in a supportive and encouraging environment.
NAMI Alaska (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides education, support, advocacy, and public awareness so that Alaskans affected by mental illness can build better lives. We are the state-wide umbrella organization for Alaska's four affiliates in the communities of Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks and the North Slope. Together, we offer these support groups which meet online for any person affected by mental illness.
