When you live with a mental health condition or care about someone who does, we know it can be difficult to find information and support. You're not alone, and we're glad you're here.
NAMI Texas' online support groups are a place for people affected by a mental health condition - whether it's a person who lives with a mental health condition or a family member, friend or caregiver whose loved one is living with a mental health condition. Participants can discuss challenges, share coping skills, and offer one another support, regardless of where they are in Texas. The groups are led by trained peers and family members; people who understand firsthand the challenges we face.
These groups are intended for anyone in Texas who want support. You can join for free from your computer, tablet or smartphone and connect confidentially with other Texans in a supportive and encouraging environment.
NAMI Texas (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides education, support, advocacy, and public awareness so that Texans affected by mental health conditions can build better lives. We are the state-wide umbrella organization for Texas’ 27 local affiliates throughout Texas.
NAMI Texas champions justice, dignity and respect for all people impacted by mental health conditions. Through education, support and advocacy we strive to eliminate the pervasive stigma of mental health conditions, affect positive changes in the mental health system, and increase the public and professional understanding of mental health conditions.
