Depression Recovery Groups is a service for individuals who are suffering with depression, bipolar disorder (especially type 2), and anxiety, which often overlaps with depression. It is a way for people who are living with these conditions to easily come together, support each other, and learn about what they can do to improve the quality of their lives. It is a confidential place where you can meet with others without fear of being identified. The meetings are led by Certified Peer Specialists and Certified Recovery Coaches who have personal experience with depression or bipolar disorder and have completed training to work with others.
Unlike some other depression support groups, Depression Recovery Groups are 90 minutes in length and include short self-help educational segments on a variety of helpful topics. The group size is limited to just eight so that participants have more opportunity to discuss whatever is important to them. We charge a small fee for these groups because there is no sponsoring organization to underwrite the cost and to pay our terrific group leaders.
